I moved out!

Yesterday I moved out! Only it wasn't as exciting as the exclamation mark implies. Mostly I feel like my life is a major disaster zone... and I'm kinda worried that it won't ever get put back together. But today I am going to make a valiant attempt! Yesterday I couldn't use the parking lot for our apartment 'cause it was being resurfaced... but today it's dry and I will be able to finish carrying in all the stuff that's still in my car. The cupboards were stained a few days ago... but I think they're dry now so hopefully I'll be able to get my dishes unloaded and hopefully continue the job search that I started yesterday. My Mom is coming up to help me finish moving in today! Whee! I am very happy about that because Jaelise is at marching band camp and I don't do so well when I'm all by myself...
I can't believe I'm finally off at college. Officially. It feels unreal, like in a few minutes I'll find myself at home as if this whole thing was just a short vacation. Knowing I'll be here for the next three years is nuts, but right now I'm definitely looking forward to summer vacation next year when I can spend time at home with everyone I love! But back to the present... ready or not, put together or not... here I come USU!

I'm getting ready for college!

My major accomplishment for this week was attending SOAR, or freshmen orientation at USU. They gave me way too much info for one day... but I learned a lot and I got to meet my academic advisors. They were amazing! All the staff was very willing to help answer my questions and let me know that if I ever need help I can contact them. I'm feeling a lot better now about going up in a few short weeks, but it's still going to be crazy! A few of the classes I need to take are full... which means I get to keep checking back online to see if they might open up, so right now I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
I checked out my aparment yesterday... and I think I'm going to love it! It's small, but in a cozy kind of way. It's called Avocet Apartments, and I'm moving in August 23rd. Ahhh! that seems so soon! I guess I'd better get busy getting ready. I'm still working on a quilt for my bedspread, and I still have to find shower curtains and utinsels, but other than that I think I'm mostly set. Horray for life!

Beginning
